Trust & Safety

Responsible development and clear public information.

01

Product status

We distinguish products that are available, in public beta or in development from long-term directions and research directions. A vision is not a claim that a product already exists.

02

Responsible use

We design and operate services with safeguards appropriate to their function, and we review reported misuse and security concerns.

03

Human accountability

AI systems can make mistakes. Important decisions should include appropriate human judgment, verification and accountability.

Public status language

A shared vocabulary for judging what is real.
